CANBERRA ACT 2600

Dear Prime Minister Hon. Kevin Rudd, Foreign Minister Hon. Stephen Smith,

Please take 10 seconds to look at these wounded and dead children and their wailing mothers, after Sri Lanka shelled Mullivaikkal makeshift Hospital in the "No Fire zone" in North East of Sri Lanka - for the 3RD TIME in a week (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhRWVLWPtnw ).

Meanwhile, British Foreign Minister David Milliband, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, Federal Minister of European and International Affairs of Austria Michael Spindelegger took a strong stance after UN briefing, and slammed Sri Lanka for grave human right violations inside the "safe zone" and in the "IDP camps" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhRWVLWPtnw).

In the light of these events unfolding at an international level, it is sad that the Australian Government has blocked Senator Bob Brown's motion that was supported by the Liberal party. We are disappointed by the Australian Governments stance.

Good decent people and supporters of Human Rights thank Senator Bob Brown, Liberal Party Leader Malcolm Turnball for standing up for Human Rights and speaking out for the suffering families, men, women and children in the so called "No Fire zone" who are mercilessly killed on a daily basis.

We welcome Australian Foreign Minister's call for the cessation of the hostilities asking for media and aid agencies to be allowed in side the conflict zone and in the IDP centers.

Yours Truly,
