To wait for a "Post Conflict Time" while civilians are being massacred is a Criminal Act!

It is a threat to long term World Peace and a shame for Humanity to be silent when innocent men, women and children are being killed.

Thousands of civilians have died in Northern Sri Lanka and many continue to perish EACH DAY. Meanwhile, United Nations Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-Moon has not decided yet whether to visit Sri Lanka or not and is engaged with Sri Lankan President about post conflict development. All this is when thousands are dying and hundreds of thousands are languishing without food and water in concentration camps where rapes, disappearances and torture is carried out with impunity by the Sri Lankan forces.

Sri Lankan government has taken the International community's silence as an authorization to kill the civilians in hundreds.

To some in the international community, killing and maiming in thousands can be acceptable as "collateral damage" in an ethnic war that has been paraded as war against terror. However, it is time that the world stood up for Human Rights and recognize the Tamil struggle for what it is - A liberation struggle; a freedom struggle.

While the Sri Lankan military continues its offensive on safe zone, and continue to fire thousands of shells into civilian areas, can the world afford to sit back and continue to be silent?

While hospitals are bombed and children are killed, can good decent people continue to maintain silence?

Human Rights Watch, in its latest report, has accused Sri Lanka of WAR CRIMES and documented 30 attacks on medical facilities in the last 5 months.
